Football Recap: Elk River Elks vs. St. Francis Fighting Saints        
        
		
             With a playoff game on the line, Elk River rose to the challenge  on Saturday. They really took it to the St. Francis Fighting Saints for the full four quarters, racking up  a  61-14 win. The Elks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by 22  points or more this season.
  Levi Harris had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 114 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and also threw for 39 yards and a touchdown. His longest rush was for an impressive 51 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Another player making a difference was  Brecken Keoraj, who rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown.
 Elk River was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 418  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 266  rushing yards in 20 consecutive  contests  dating back to last season.
 One reason for the win was Elk River's imposing  defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. In that department,  Nick Montik was the leader with two.
 Elk River's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for St. Francis, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
 Elk River will square off against Andover on Friday. Andover will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  points each  match than the last. St. Francis does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
