South Effingham's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They never let the Augusta Christian Lions get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won eight games by eight runs or more so far this season.

South Effingham pushed their record up to 14-10 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Augusta Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

South Effingham will have a chance to go back-to-back against Augusta Christian: the pair will be back at it again later today.
