Basketball Game Preview: Sonoma Academy Coyotes vs. Hoopa Valley Warriors

The Sonoma Academy Coyotes will face off against the Hoopa Valley Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Sonoma Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They breezed past Arroyo to the tune of 62-32. The Coyotes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Hoopa Valley earned a 61-49 win over Tamalpais on Wednesday.

Sonoma Academy better focus on containing Wau'Kel Blake and Ivy Lamebear as the pair were huge in Hoopa Valley's win. Blake posted 27 points, while Lamebear put up 18 points. The dominant performance gave Blake a new career-high in points. Harmony Nelson was another key player, putting up ten points.

The victory was the third in a row for Sonoma Academy, bringing their record for this year to 21-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.3 points. As for Hoopa Valley, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
