Tomball won the last time they faced Klein and things went their way on Friday too. The Cougars managed a 53-47 victory over the Bearkats. The Cougars' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tomball to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ian Thomas, who rushed for 136 yards and three scores. Thomas' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 100 rushing yards. Miles Roy also helped with three touchdowns in total.

Kelly Jr really tore up the turf during one magnificent 78-yard run. Grant Stratta also helped out as he racked up 121 rushing yards.

Tomball's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Klein, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-2.

Tomball and Klein should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Cougars will take on Klein Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (50 vs. 146). Meanwhile, Klein (ranked 73rd) will meet Magnolia West (ranked 355th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
