Soccer Game Preview: Cosumnes Oaks vs. Pleasant Grove

Cosumnes Oaks is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Franklin on Friday. Cosumnes Oaks fell just short of Franklin by a score of 1-0. The Wolfpack have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Pleasant Grove kept a clean sheet against Laguna Creek on Friday. Everything went their way against the Cardinals as they made off with a 3-0 win. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Cardinals are ranked 383rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pleasant Grove hit Laguna Creek with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Monica Palafox, Madelynn Garcia, and Kylee Rocha.

Cosumnes Oaks' loss dropped their record down to 7-6-2. As for Pleasant Grove, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2-1 record this season.
