Soccer Recap: Princeton Comes Up Short

Princeton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Roanoke-Benson/Eureka Rockets, falling 5-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Princeton of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2021.

Princeton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Roanoke-Benson/Eureka, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Princeton will head out to square off against Serena at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Serena's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Roanoke-Benson/Eureka, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Canton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
