Football Recap: Pelion Takes a Loss

Pelion had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 4-4 to make it four. They took a blow against the Strom Thurmond Rebels, falling 61-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.

Alan Moore threw for 68 yards on ten of 22 attempts.

As for Strom Thurmond, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 22 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Deonte Phillips, who rushed for 97 yards and three TDs. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last four games he's played. Zy Rouse was another major influence, as he rushed for 73 yards and ran in a TD.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Pelion is set to take on their familiar foe Batesburg-Leesville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Strom Thurmond will face off against rival Saluda at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
