Volleyball Recap: Monticello Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Monticello was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tri-Valley Vikings. The Sages were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, Monticello still got an impressive performance from Mady Melton, who had 13 digs and two assists. Melton has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Monticello's loss dropped their record down to 21-15. As for Tri-Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-9 record this season.

Monticello does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tri-Valley, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Bloomington Central Catholic on the 30th.
