Softball Recap: Johnston Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Northwest

Johnston faced Northwest in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Dragons took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolves. The Dragons haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Johnston's loss dropped their record down to 22-14. As for Northwest, the win was the 19th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Johnston is set to square off against their familiar foe Urbandale at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Northwest will take on rival Ankeny at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
