Soccer Game Preview: Hilliard Darby vs. Dublin Coffman

The Hilliard Darby Panthers will be taking part in a tournament against the Dublin Coffman Shamrocks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Hilliard Darby hadn't beaten Marysville on the road since October 28, 2017 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Panthers walked away with a 4-2 victory over the Monarchs.

Hilliard Darby hit Marysville with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Zack Findley (2), Pierce Kountz, and Nicolas Reyes.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dublin Coffman). They never let Hilliard Bradley get on the board and left with a 5-0 win on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for Dublin Coffman as they're now sitting on four straight.

Dublin Coffman's win bumped their record up to 6-8-1. As for Hilliard Darby, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6-2.

Hilliard Darby skirted past Dublin Coffman 3-2 when the teams last played back in October of 2023. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Shamrocks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
