Basketball Recap: Ariella Sheppard Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Mid-Peninsula

Kehillah had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 21-point drubbing they dealt Mid-Peninsula on Thursday. The Kehillah Rams blew past the Mid-Peninsula Dragons 38-17. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 20 points or more this season.

Kehillah's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ariella Sheppard led the charge by putting up 13 points and eight steals. The dominant performance gave Sheppard a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Noga Kohavi, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards.

Kehillah smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Kehillah's record now sits at 7-1. As for Mid-Peninsula, they dropped their record down to 2-10 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.
