Baseball Recap: Walker Wolverines vs. Banks County Leopards
Walker extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Banks County. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Banks County Leopards. Winning may never get old, but Walker sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Walker got a great performance from Joaquin Santos as he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. Santos has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't pitched less than six innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.
On the hitting side, Jackson Williams was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.
Walker is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 games, which provided a massive bump to their 18-12 record this season. As for Banks County, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-9.
