Basketball Recap: Culver City Beats Leuzinger for Their Fourth Straight Victory

After losing to Leuzinger the last time they met, Culver City decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Culver City Centaurs walked away with a 56-47 win over the Leuzinger Olympians on Saturday. The victory was familiar territory for the Centaurs who have now won four matchups in a row.

Despite the defeat, Leuzinger saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tatyana Aubry posted 19 points. That was a full 40.4% of Leuzinger's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Brianna Ike was another key player, putting up ten points.

Culver City pushed their record up to 14-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.7 points per game. As for Leuzinger, their loss dropped their record down to 13-12.

Culver City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Leuzinger, they will welcome Beverly Hills on Monday.
