Soccer Recap: Springville Drops Season-High Score on West Delaware

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Springville). Their defense stepped up to hand the West Delaware Hawks an 8-0 shutout on Thursday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded Springville with their most commanding win of the season.

Springville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four contests. As for West Delaware, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-15.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Springville will face off against Independence at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Delaware, they will challenge Marion at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Marion's last eight games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
