Lorena is a perfect 3-0 against Gatesville since September of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Leopards will welcome the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Lorena has given up an average of 42.3 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Lorena lost to Robinson on the road by a 46-29 margin. The matchup marked the Leopards' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Lorena might have lost, but man, Jaxon Blancett was a machine: he threw for 261 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 63 yards. Carson Miller was Blancett's top target, picking up 101 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Meanwhile, Gatesville ended up a good deal behind La Vega on Friday and lost 24-7. The Hornets have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Lorena will have to contain Amos Phillips as he made an impact in Gatesville's last game. He picked up 85 receiving yards and one TD.

Having lost for the first time this season, Gatesville fell to 5-1. As for Lorena, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Friday's game might be decided in the trenches. Lorena has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 209.8 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Gatesville, though, as they've been averaging only 90.5 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
