            Softball Recap: Bishop Kelley Comets vs. Booker T. Washington Hornets        
        
		
        
        
            Bishop Kelley won against Del City  on Thursday with 14  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Friday. The Comets were the clear victors by  a  14-6 margin over the Booker T. Washington Hornets. The Comets haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  victory against them.
 Laura Karbowski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned  (and two unearned) runs on ten hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in nine consecutive appearances.

 On the hitting side,  Kate Beyerl was  incredible,  going a perfect 5-for-5 with one  home run, four  runs,  and five  RBI. Those  five  RBI gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Maddie Bond, who  went a perfect 5-for-5 with three  runs and one  RBI.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Bishop Kelley  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 20  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
Bishop Kelley's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Booker T. Washington, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15.
 Coming up, Bishop Kelley will face off against Pryor at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Booker T. Washington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Collinsville  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday.
