Football Recap: Flatirons Academy Wins Going Away Against Peyton

Flatirons Academy's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They strolled past the Peyton Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 24-6. That's more bragging rights for the Bison, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Caleb Doughty threw for 93 yards and one TD. Jack Joyner was his top target, picking up 86 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Elijah Ricca rushed for 135 yards.

Flatirons Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Peyton, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Flatirons Academy is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Estes Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Peyton, they will head out to challenge Holyoke at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
