Football Recap: Harmon Takes a Loss

Harmon extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Friday, dropping them down to 0-2. They were beaten by the Atchison Phoenix 55-0. If the Hawks were looking for revenge after losing 55-6 to the Phoenix when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Atchison, the victory got them back to even at 1-1. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their seven-point performance the match before.

Jack Bilderback had a dynamite game, rushing for 68 yards and a pair of TDs on only six carries. Noah Martin got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Harmon is set to face off against their familiar foe Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Atchison will challenge rival Sumner Academy on Friday.
