Football Game Preview: Skyridge Falcons vs. American Fork Cavemen + How To Watch

Skyridge has gone 6-1 against American Fork recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Falcons will face off against the Cavemen at 7:00 p.m. Skyridge has given up an average of 27.8 points per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Skyridge is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Lone Peak, who was ranked third at the time (Skyridge was ranked second). The Falcons skirted past the Knights 37-34.

Skyridge relied on the efforts of Lincoln Tahi, who gained 213 total yards and two touchdowns, and Kaneal Sweetwyne, who threw for 231 yards and two touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Tahi a new career-high in rushing yards (128).

Despite a strong season so far, American Fork has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They received a blow on Thursday as they fell 37-21 to Corner Canyon.

Skyridge will need to focus on slowing down Prince Afu, one of several American Fork players who made an impact when they last played. He rushed for 159 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Childs, who threw for 125 yards and one TD.

Skyridge's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.8 points over those games. As for American Fork, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

Everything went Skyridge's way against American Fork when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Skyridge made off with a 45-24 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
