Softball Recap: Battle Mountain Takes a Loss

If Battle Mountain was riding high fresh off their 30-4 takedown of Aspen on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Huskies lost 20-1 to the Centaurus Warriors on Saturday. The Huskies have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Battle Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Centaurus, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-2 record this season.

Battle Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Centaurus, they will be taking part in a tournament against D'Evelyn at 12:15 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 3, the Jaguars 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
