Desert Mountain entered their tilt with Cactus Shadows on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Falcons, posting  a  49-20 victory. The Wolves pushed the score to  49-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Falcons cut but never quite recovered from.
Desert Mountain was led to victory by  Grant Garduno and  Easton Conner.  Garduno threw for 243 yards and four  TDs while completing 75% of his passes, while  Conner gained 126 total yards and two touchdowns. Conner is also on a roll when it comes to  rushing touchdowns, as he's  now  punched in two or more in each of the last four games he's  played.  Kai Hasenyager was  Garduno's top target, picking up 43 receiving yards and a pair of  touchdowns.

 When it comes to explaining why Cactus Shadows lost, don't look at  Donivan Dixon. Despite the final result, he rushed for 113 yards and three  scores on only ten carries, and also threw for 211 yards  on only 16 passes. A healthy portion of  Dixon's aerial production (90 yards to be exact)  went to  Zach Spielman.
Desert Mountain's record is now 5-1. As for Cactus Shadows,  with the  loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-3.
 Coming up, Desert Mountain will take on Ironwood Ridge at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Wolves will be up against the Nighthawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.17  points per  contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Cactus Shadows, they will face off against Horizon at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Huskies' defense has only allowed 14.8  points per game  this season, so the Falcons' offense will have their work cut out for them.
