Soccer Recap: Ventura Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ventura can now relate to. They fell just short of the Maranatha Minutemen by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday.

Ventura's goal came courtesy of Kaitlyn Wright, who's now up to 12 this season.

Ventura now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Maranatha, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-9.

Ventura does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Maranatha, they will challenge Adelanto at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Maranatha's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
