La Costa Canyon played in conference for the first time on Wednesday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They walked away with a 56-46 win over Sage Creek. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mavericks.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Torrey Pines, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They blew past Oceanside 70-33 on Wednesday. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 21 points or more this season.

La Costa Canyon better keep an eye on Averi Kwok. She was instrumental in Torrey Pines' win, going 5 of 6 en route to 15 points and three steals. Those 15 points gave Kwok a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lily Oliva, who went 5 for 11 on her way to 11 points.
