Soccer Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Del Campo

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Del Campo had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They never let the Ceres Bulldogs onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 234th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 516th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Del Campo's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-8. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those five matchups. As for Ceres, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.
