Depew and Davenport are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2019, but likely not for long. The Hornets will venture away from home to challenge the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Depew's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Davenport's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Depew took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Oilton, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Hornets came out on top in a nail-biter against the Panthers on Monday, sneaking past 2-0.

Davenport never got on the board in their matchup on Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Olive on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over the Wildcats. Considering the Bulldogs have won three games by more than 12 runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Depew pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Davenport, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Depew couldn't quite get it done against Davenport in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 as they fell 10-6. Can the Hornets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
