Football Recap: Jordan Sets Scoring Season-High Against Watertown-Mayer

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jordan). They came out on top against the Watertown-Mayer Royals by a score of 45-35 on Friday. The Hubmen / Jaguars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Royals, too.

Jordan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Graham Helgerson, who threw for 209 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 passes, and also rushed for 40 yards. Those four passing touchdowns gave Helgerson a new career-high. Another rusher making a difference was Lincoln Malek, who rushed for 113 yards and one score on only 11 carries.

The win made it two in a row for Jordan and bumps their season record up to 3-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.0 points over those games. As for Watertown-Mayer, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.
