Baseball Recap: Valdosta Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Valdosta's offense. They came up short against the Tift County Blue Devils on Friday, falling 7-0. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Valdosta's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Tift County, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.

We've got a battle between Wildcats coming up. Valdosta is facing Camden County at the right time seeing as Camden County is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Tift County, they will venture away from home to take on Richmond Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Richmond Hill: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Tift County has snatched up six consecutive wins on the road.
