Softball Recap: Burke County Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Burke County and Crisp County squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Burke County had to settle for second. They lost 16-1 to the Cougars. The Bears' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Burke County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leigha Boynton, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.

Burke County's defeat dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Crisp County, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-12.

As of now, neither Burke County nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
