 The Ridgeview Panthers will face off against the St. Augustine Yellow Jackets at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Ridgeview has given up an average of 34.5  points per game this season, but Friday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
It was a proper cat-fight when Ridgeview faced off against Impact Christian Academy on Friday. The Panthers had to suffer through  a    56-20 loss at the hands of the Lions. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  28-7.
Meanwhile, St. Augustine strolled into their game  on Friday with a perfect  record and they left with the same. They enjoyed a cozy  34-20 win over Bartram Trail. Given the Yellow Jackets' advantage  in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Bears are ranked 85th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
St. Augustine's win came from a few key players Ridgeview will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was  Somourian Wingo, who picked up 75 receiving yards and one  TD, and also punched in a pair of  scores on the ground. Another player making a difference was  Julio Santiago, who picked up 168 receiving yards and one  touchdown.
 St. Augustine didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as  Mason Lynch,  Santiago,  and  Ka'Ron Robinson picked up one apiece. Lynch also set a new season-high mark in  total tackles with nine. Santiago got in on the action too, converting a pick  into a touchdown.
 Ridgeview's loss was  their third straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 2-6. As for St. Augustine, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.
 Ridgeview was dealt a bruising  63-7 defeat at the hands of St. Augustine in their previous meeting  back in October of 2024. That  game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Panthers were down  56-0.
