Football Game Recap: Beddingfield Bruins vs. Ayden - Grifton Chargers + How To Watch

Beddingfield extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-6. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 42-0 to the Ayden - Grifton Chargers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Bruins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.

Brian Jones threw for 52 yards. Kameron Pitt was his top target, picking up 52 receiving yards.

As for Ayden - Grifton, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won three matchups by 25 points or more so far this season.

It was another big night for EJ Ruffin, who rushed for 84 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries, and also picked up 34 receiving yards. Nygel Morgan was another key player, gaining 67 total yards and two touchdowns.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Beddingfield will head out to challenge Tarboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings' defense has only allowed ten points per game this season, so the Bruins' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Ayden - Grifton, they will venture away from home to square off against Greene Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
