The Beddingfield Bruins football team (Wilson, NC), was crushed 42-0 in Friday's league bout with the host Ayden - Grifton Chargers (Ayden, NC)

The Chargers (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Greene Central (Snow Hill, NC). The Rams enter the Eastern Plains 2A/3A contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Greene Central was trounced by Kinston (Kinston, NC), 32-31, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Bruins battle the Tarboro Vikings (Tarboro, NC) in a Eastern Plains 2A/3A contest, on Friday, October 17. Beddingfield will attempt to better on its 1-6 season record. The Vikings enter the contest with a 7-0 record after their 55-14 league win over Farmville Central (Farmville, NC).
