In Friday's league match, the visiting Ayden - Grifton Chargers football squad scored a decisive 35-0 triumph over the Greene Central Rams.

The Chargers (6-2) will now prepare for their match against Tarboro (Tarboro, NC). The Vikings come into the Eastern Plains 2A/3A challenge with a 8-0 record. In their last challenge, Tarboro bounced Beddingfield (Wilson, NC), 55-0, in a league challenge.
