The Ayden - Grifton Chargers were victorious over the visiting Kinston Vikings football team by a score of 33-21 in Friday's league challenge.

Next, the Chargers clash with the Beddingfield Bruins (Wilson, NC) in a Eastern Plains 2A/3A test, on Friday, October 10. Ayden - Grifton will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Bruins come into the test with a 1-5 record after their 42-0 league loss to Farmville Central (Farmville, NC).

With the defeat, Kinston drops to 3-3 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Greene Central (Snow Hill, NC) to face the Rams in a Eastern Plains 2A/3A game on Friday, October 10.
