Basketball Recap: Breeana Huerta's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bell over South East

Bell was the 41-37 winner over South East when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Bell Eagles fell to the South East Jaguars 39-33. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Breeana Huerta, who posted ten points. Those ten points gave Huerta a new career-high.

Bell's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for South East, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-12 record.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing South Gate the next time they take the court. Bell will head out to face South Gate at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while South East will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
