Basketball Recap: Hesperia Takes a Loss

Hesperia lost against Shadow Hills back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Hesperia Scorpions were dealt a 62-25 defeat at the hands of the Shadow Hills Knights. The matchup marked the Scorpions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Hesperia lost, don't look at Jocelyne Lerma. Despite the final result, she posted nine points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Annabel Sanchez, who put up nine points.

Hesperia's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Shadow Hills, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Peninsula the next time they take the court. Shadow Hills will head out to face Peninsula at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Hesperia will head out to face them at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
