Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ashlynn Bell and Olivia Gray Lead Orestimba to Victory

Orestimba was handed a heart-breaking two-point defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Downey on Monday. The Orestimba Warriors put the hurt on the Downey Knights with a sharp 44-24 win. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Orestimba to victory were Olivia Gray and Ashlynn Bell. Gray posted 15 points, while Bell scored 11 points.

With the victory, Orestimba broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-4. As for Downey, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Orestimba won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Venture Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Downey, they will be taking part in a tournament against Central Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on December 26th.
