Soccer Game Preview: Bonita vs. Ayala

The Bonita Bearcats will square off against the Ayala Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bonita has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with four straight losses, while Ayala will come in with three straight victories.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Bonita's offense. They lost 3-0 to Glendora on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 363rd, while the Tartans are ranked 170th).

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Thursday Ayala sidestepped Claremont for a 2-1 win.

Sophia Dinh and Haylee Dean scored both of Ayala's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 23 goals.

Ayala is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those five contests. As for Bonita, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12-4.
