Softball Recap: Hannibal Comes Up Short

Hannibal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 8-4 to the Kirksville Tigers. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 14-1 to the Tigers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Hannibal's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Kirksville, they pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hannibal will welcome Highland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kirksville, they will host Moberly at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
