Basketball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Glendale's Third in Last Four Outings

If Curwensville wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Glendale, they should've done a better job of containing Madison Peterson. The Glendale Vikings claimed a resounding 57-21 victory over the Curwensville Golden Tide thanks in part to Peterson, who posted 30 points. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2023.

Glendale has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.5 points per game. As for Curwensville, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glendale and Bald Eagle Area will face off at 7:15 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Curwensville has already played their next game (against Kane), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
