Softball Game Preview: M.L. King Lions vs. Arabia Mountain Rams

M.L. King hasn't had much luck against Arabia Mountain recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Lions will challenge the Rams at 5:00 p.m. Neither M.L. King nor Arabia Mountain posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for M.L. King's offense. They lost 15-0 to Creekside on Tuesday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Lions haven't been shut out since back in August.

Woodward Academy hit Arabia Mountain with a six-run second inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rams came up short against the War Eagles, falling 14-2. The loss continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the War Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Arabia Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for M.L. King, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

M.L. King suffered a grim 17-0 defeat to Arabia Mountain when the teams last played back in September of 2023. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
