Baseball Recap: Hiram Comes Up Short

Hiram was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They lost 18-3 to the Allatoona Buccaneers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Buccaneers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 13-0 loss on Wednesday.

Hiram saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Thomas, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Hiram's defeat dropped their record down to 7-20. As for Allatoona, the victory was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Hiram will take on rival Cass at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Allatoona is set to face off against their familiar foe Woodland at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday.
