Softball Recap: West Hancock Takes a Loss

West Hancock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Hamilton Hawks. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 12-0 to the Hawks when the teams met back in June of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

West Hancock's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for South Hamilton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-16.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Hancock will welcome North Iowa at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bison have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.57 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for South Hamilton, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Prairie City-Monroe at 5:30 p.m.
