Softball Recap: Hebron Christian Now 15-1 over Last 16 Games

Ola typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Hebron Christian proved too difficult a challenge. They put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 8-0 victory. Considering the Lions have won 18 matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Not much got past Kate Kennedy, who gave up just two hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Ola off the board. Kennedy has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Juls Huber, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Gabby Raysor was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Hebron Christian hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 17 consecutive games.

Hebron Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Ola, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 18-4 record.

Hebron Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ola, they will head out to take on Northgate at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Mustangs 2, the Vikings 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
