Baseball Recap: Windsor Academy Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Flint River Academy, Windsor Academy was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with an 8-5 win over the Crisp Academy Wildcats. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won seven in a row.

Ryder Dale made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and not a single walk). Dale was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 2-for-2. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Dale wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Dawson Sims, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-3. That's the most stolen bases Sims has posted since back in April of 2024. Blayne Bennett was another, scoring a run and stealing three bases.

Windsor Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-11. As for Crisp Academy, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Windsor Academy beat the Wildcats by a score of 8-5 later that day.
