Softball Recap: Nowata Takes a Loss

Nowata was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Catoosa Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Ironmen of the 11-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2018.

Nowata's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Catoosa, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Nowata didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-5 loss against Oklahoma Union on the 14th. As for Catoosa, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Sequoyah at 11:30 a.m.
