Baseball Game Preview: Upson-Lee Knights vs. Whitewater Wildcats

The Upson-Lee Knights will challenge the Whitewater Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

On Friday, Upson-Lee got the win against Fayette County by a conclusive 13-3. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won six matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Whitewater). They put the hurt on Luella with a sharp 18-2 win on Thursday. The Wildcats not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 9, 2024.

Upson-Lee's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-8. As for Whitewater, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.

Upson-Lee might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Whitewater in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Upson-Lee avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
