Football Game Preview: Carlton/Wrenshall vs. Cromwell Cardinals

Carlton/Wrenshall are taking a road trip to take on the Cromwell Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Carlton/Wrenshall has given up an average of 55.5 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Carlton/Wrenshall is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They had to suffer through a 52-14 loss at the hands of Sebeka. That's two games in a row now that Carlton/Wrenshall has lost by exactly 38 points.

Meanwhile, Cromwell faced Bertha-Hewitt in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Cardinals enjoyed a cozy 36-20 win over the Bears. Winning may never get old, but the Cardinals sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Carlton/Wrenshall's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Cromwell, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Carlton/Wrenshall and Cromwell were almost perfectly matched up when the teams last played back in October of 2020, but Carlton/Wrenshall suffered an agonizing 15-14 loss. Can Carlton/Wrenshall avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
