Neumann-Goretti skates past Archbishop Ryan with ease

The Neumann-Goretti Saints can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Saturday. They blew past Archbishop Ryan, posting a 81-52 victory at home. Given Neumann-Goretti's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked eighth, while Archbishop Ryan is ranked 389th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Neumann-Goretti's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carryn Easley, who scored 28 points along with five assists and five steals. Easley continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Amya Scott, who scored eight points along with 12 assists and eight steals.

Neumann-Goretti has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Archbishop Ryan, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Neumann-Goretti will take on Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Archbishop Ryan, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Nazareth Academy at 6:00 p.m.
