Football Recap: Earlham Takes a Loss

Earlham fell victim to Madrid and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 34-0 loss at the hands of the Tigers. Having soared to a lofty 42 points in the game before, the Cardinals' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Earlham's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Madrid, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Earlham will square off against Colfax-Mingo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals will be up against the Tigerhawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 61.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Madrid, they will take on Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center on Friday. Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center's defense has only allowed 6.5 points per game this season, so Madrid's offense will have their work cut out for them.
