Paradise fell just short of East Nicolaus by a score of 47-45. Paradise has struggled against East Nicolaus recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Paradise got a solid performance out of Nyah Baker, who scored 23 points. That was a full 51.1% of Paradise's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Azevedo, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Willows had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Live Oak with a sharp 47-27 win on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Willows has posted against Live Oak since February 5, 2019.
Among those leading the charge was Kyleigh Goppert, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Karla Sandoval DiMaggio was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Paradise has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Willows, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.
Paradise strolled past Willows when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a score of 43-26. The rematch might be a little tougher for Paradise since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
